If you haven’t heard, Temple Hill is hosting Live Music Night the last Thursday of every month at NV Lounge in Suffern, NY, we’re creating a venue where local acts can come down and share their talents on a consistent basis. After the scheduled performances, the stage remains open for anyone who wants to sit in and show their stuff. Start time is 10pm!! Contact us if you’re interested in performing the following months, and remember; It’s always a party!

But to kick off this long weekend, just hours before our show at NV, Temple Hill will be performing LIVE on local TV. We are the featured artist on Poughkeepsie Live, a show that exposes undiscovered talent, and we’re psyched to be a part of it.

Poughkeepsie live airs on:
Thursdays @ 7pm, Time Warner Cable 6
Rebroadcast: Cable 6: Thursday 8pm, Friday 9:30pm, Monday 9pm
Cablevision channel 21: Fridays @ 9:30pm

May 1, 2009 - Celebrity Fundraiser

Temple Hill was scouted a couple of months ago by the talent coordinator for this incredible event: May 1st at Ramapo College in Mahwah, NJ, there will be a massive fundraiser for Diabetes Research. We’ve been asked to kick off the night with a high energy performance to get everyone excited about raising money for this great cause. We are sharing the stage with Donny Klang from MTV’s Making the Band and Justin McKinney from Comedy Central. Expect to see some celebs in the audience, Bergen County is home for a lot of them. Tickets can be purchased at Sunset Tan in Ramsey, NJ. 100% of the proceeds will go to Diabetes Research

We have been recording some new material in our home studios and we are way too excited for everyone to hear it, so we are going to just go ahead and release a couple of tracks before we actually finish our next album. We have also decided to revisit some of our favorite tunes from 'The Drive Home' and make them sound fresh and exciting for you.

For those who have seen us perform live in the last month or so, you will definitely recognize the two new songs. We have all worked very hard at making the new recordings top notch and we will be having an EP release party at Arlene's Grocery on April 2nd!

NEW SONG: Wake Up The World

. . . so we were all talking last night and thought that today would be a great day to post a new song. Why not? It’s the inauguration of our new president, and telling as it is, this song was written with change in mind.

It’s definitely lighter than what Temple Hill usually brings, but we wanted to do something to be a part of this powerful day. So when you get a chance, take a listen and let us know what you think. . . it’s called “Wake up the World”.

And for all of you who want to see us perform “Wake up the World”, live, for the first time... This Saturday, Jan 24th at 10pm, we’re rocking out The Bitter End. It's always a party, so make sure you're there . We will be playing the new song along with some exciting new arrangements.

In case there are still people that don't know, Temple Hill just returned from a five day trip to Rothenburg, Germany, after they won the Emergenza National Finals in New York and got the chance to play at the Taubertal Open Air Festival.

After a lot a of traveling and some lost luggage, I think I pretty much speak for everyone when I say that our experience was nothing short of amazing. It was five awesome days filled with some of the best music, friends, parties, and the freshest of German beers and LOTS of Jagermeister. We wish all of our friends here at home could have been there to enjoy it with us but have no fear, there will be a TON of videos being posted on youtube in the very near future because I sacrificed being the annoying guy with the camera always on so I could bring back some really great footage to share with everyone back home.

The final verdict was that Temple Hill finished 6th place out of 6,000 total bands that were involved in the worldwide competition. Our bass player Mr. Bryan Spitzer took home a brand new Fender Jazz Bass guitar after winning BEST BASS PLAYER! The entire experience was so great I can't even put it into words. I would like to give a big congratulations to Gloria Cycles who took first place, and The Mad Trist and A Match for the Curious, who took 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Also a big shout out to all of the bands from the states, The Crossed Keys from LA, and Dizastro from Chicago, and also two great bands from overseas, The Vandolls from Sydney and PXR from Budapest. If you've never heard of any of these bands you owe it to yourself to check them all out, they are all awesome. You can see all of the bands that participated at the emergenza website, Emergenza.net. Also a big thank you to all of the cast, characters, and people involved in the Emergenza competition, it was a lot of hard work and dedication to make this festival as unbelievable as it was!

So keep checking out our Youtube channel for more videos, we are sure this is only the beginning of Temple Hill world domination.

Hello to everyone reading our very first Blog, we hope this will help to keep everyone up to date as far as our feelings and emotions go. If you are looking for real Temple Hill news then you are in the wrong place... just kidding. Very serious news though, in case you haven't heard already our bass player and Tour de France champion Bryan Spitzer was hit by a car while training for the 2009 Tour de France and unfortunately broke his collar bone! If anybody has ever known anybody who has broken their collar bone or has actually broken their collar bone themselves knows how excruciatingly painful it is. So in lieu of canceling all of our shows coming up, our very good friend Steve Buonanotte (his last name is really fun to say) will be filling in on the bass until Bryan is ready to jump around on stage again.
